Fjord Cruise on the Lysefjord

Experience one of Norway’s most breathtaking fjords. The Lysefjord is the host to one of Norway’s most spectacular wonders: the Pulpit Rock, a rock formation 597 meters above sea level. The fjord is 42 kilometres long with steep mountainsides reaching heights of 1100 metres.

Departure (from conference hotel): 09:30.
Arrival (back at Stavanger centrum): approx. 14:00.

Hike to the Pulpit Rock

This breathtaking scenic point, hanging 600 meters above the Lysefjord, is chosen by Lonely Planet as one of the top ten most spectacular viewing points in the world, will mesmerize you! The plateau is approximately 25 x 25 metre offering spectacular views.

The hike to Preikestolen is a total of eight kilometers, and the round trip takes four hours. The hike has an elevation gain of about 500 meters, and some sections are steep. As the hike is graded as medium difficulty, you should be in good physical shape to participate in this tour. Also, it is really important that you have proper hiking shoes.
