Conference Venue

The proposed venue for the ECIR is Clarion Hotel Energy, the largest conference hotel in the Stavanger Region, located in the heart of the Energy Capital. With 17 meeting rooms, 400 hotel rooms, in-house restaurant Kitchen and Table, Clarion Hotel Energy is the ideal venue for the conference. The hotel is located less than 20 minutes away from the airport, and 10 minutes from the railway station. It offers a well-equipped fitness room and if the delegates need some tranquillity, the idyllic Mosvatnet lake and Stokkavannet lake is a short walk from the hotel. Other facilities include free wifi, in-house restaurant, in-house gym, mini bar, parking, bicycle rental, safe deposit box, laundry service, and express check-out.

The venue features suitable and conducive area for posters as well as an area for sponsors to display and promote their organization.

The venue follows the Norwegian regulations for universal design. In addition, the venue and dining area will be on the same floor, making it easy to get around with wheelchair. The hotel has defibrillators on- site and are trained in first aid and CPR. Before the conference can start, the hotel staff will do a quick safety debriefing and present the emergency exits. The hotel has its own safety plan and routines for unexpected events such as a fire situation.
