Call for Industry Day Presentations

The Industry Day of ECIR’22 will be held on Friday 14th April 2022 in Stavanger, Norway, immediately after the main conference program. Same as the main conference, this year’s Industry Day is planned to be a primarily physical meeting with support for remote speakers and attendees.

Our goal is to bring together product developers, information professionals and IR researchers to promote knowledge sharing and innovation across academia and industry.

We would like to invite presentations relevant to the general topics of information retrieval, such as:

• Open problems and challenges in industry
• Novel ideas, models, tools, and applications that you have developed;
• Application of state-of-the-art models/approaches to real-world problems;
• Dealing with users in real-world situations
• Industrial research stories: from research to production

Proposals

Presentation proposals should include:

• A brief company portrait (~100 words)
• A short CV of the presenter(s) (~100 words)
• Title and abstract of the presentation, including the reasons why your experiences will be interesting to the ECIR audience (~500 words)
• Please do NOT submit a sales speech!

Proposals should be submitted via EasyChair.
There will be a lightweight evaluation procedure where the main focus will lie on the interest for the ECIR audience and the cross-over between academia and industry.

Notification:  February 10, 2022
Industry day: April 14, 2022
